Just as in Britain with the Chilcot Report’s exposure of Prime Ministers Tony Blair’s role, the Spanish State deserves a similar inquiry of the role Aznar played […]

Aznar together with Bush, Blair and Durao Barroso. Azores Summit. Mars 16, 2003.
Two days ago, the Spanish political group En Comú Podèm officially applied for ex president Aznar to appear before the Spanish Senate regarding the role he played sending Spanish troops to Iraq during the invasion and war in 2003.
Ex-president Aznar ignored the Spanish citizens who showed their total disapproval of that war by huge demonstrations all over the country, nor did he listen to the rest of political representatives at the two Spanish Houses: The Congress of Deputies and the Senate.
Just as in Britain with the Chilcot Report’s exposure of Prime Ministers Tony Blair’s role, the Spanish State deserves a similar inquiry of the role Aznar played in that terrible history of humankind. We, Spanish citizens and of course the greatest victims of this awful catastrophe, the Iraqis, deserve to know the full truth about what really happened. By now, we only know little pieces of what Spanish troops did in Iraq, the tip of the iceberg.
We strongly ask you for your full support for this inquiry. To accomplish this, we request you do the following:
1.- Send a mail to Iraq@iraqsolidaridad.org with your name, city and/or country, and your professional activity.
2.- Spread widely in social media and among your contacts to involve more supporters.
3.- Publish this petition on your website.
Thank you very much.
¡In solidarity with the Iraqi people!
